Cancellation Policy

At Larkham House Dental Practice, your appointments are reserved exclusively for you. When an appointment is missed or cancelled at short notice, it is often impossible for us to offer that time to another patient who may need urgent dental care.

We understand that plans can change, and we kindly ask that you let us know as early as possible if you are unable to attend.

Cancellations and Rearranging Appointments

We require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.

Providing sufficient notice allows us to offer your appointment to another patient and helps us make the best use of our clinical team’s time.

Late Cancellations and Missed Appointments

For private appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or where a patient fails to attend without notifying the practice, we reserve the right to:

• Charge £1 per minute of the missed appointment time; or

• Retain any appointment deposit paid.

Any applicable charge or retained deposit will be considered in accordance with the circumstances and this policy.

These measures help cover the cost of reserved clinical time that cannot usually be filled at short notice.

Exceptional Circumstances

We appreciate that genuine emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur.

Any exceptional circumstances will be considered on an individual basis. The Practice Manager has discretion to waive any applicable charge where appropriate.

Need to Cancel or Rearrange?

If you need to change your appointment, please contact the practice as soon as possible so that we can assist you.
