Rachel becomes an Oral Health Educator

Big congratulations to Rachel Chilcott who is our newest Oral Health Educator. She has passed her NEBDN OHE (Oral Health Education) course. She now joins both Kay and Lauren as Oral Health Educators at Larkham House. This additional qualification and training allows Rachel to assist our team of dentists with the following duties and procedures where prescribed:

• Oral Health Education for patients
• Oral Health Education in schools and nurseries
• Oral Health Promotion

The NEBDN qualification as an Oral Health Education compliments a dental nurses’ role, specifically designed to equip dental nurses wishing to develop professionally. It arms them with the knowledge and skills required to effectively deliver oral health care messages, educate various patient groups, and have the ability to adapt information and communication to the specific needs of the patient.

Our oral health educators take an active role in the community (dependent on current Government restrictions) visiting Schools and Nurseries to help educate school children. Please contact us if you would like our team to visit your school.
