Dr Jo Power

We are delighted to have Dr. Jo Power as a highly esteemed member of the Larkham House team.

Dr. Power began her dental journey at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, graduating in 2002. She moved to Plymouth in 2005, where her dedication to dentistry has flourished. Holding a Master’s degree, a Diploma, and a PG Certificate with distinction in Restorative Dentistry, Dr. Power was honored with the “Highest Achiever Award in Masters of Restorative Dentistry.”

Dr. Power’s career is marked by both clinical excellence and a passion for education. She served as Deputy Clinical Lead for final-year dental students at Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth, earning prestigious teaching qualifications as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers.

Her commitment to the profession extends beyond the clinic. As Vice Chair of the Devon Local Dental Committee (LDC) and an active member of several leading organizations, including the British Society for Restorative Dentistry, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the British Dental Association, Dr. Power remains at the forefront of dental advancements.

Dr. Power’s expertise spans all aspects of dentistry, including orthodontics (Invisalign) and anti-wrinkle treatments. She has been recognized as a finalist in the UK Dental Clinical Awards for Restorative Dentistry and was nominated for a prestigious SSTAR (Student Staff Teaching and Representation) Award.

With a warm and gentle approach, Dr. Power is committed to providing exceptional care tailored to patients of all ages. Her endless enthusiasm for dentistry and her ability to put patients at ease make her a trusted choice for families in the Plymouth community.

Outside of work, Dr. Power is a dedicated wife and mother of four children. She treasures time spent with her family and brings the same care and compassion to her personal life as she does to her profession.
