Are you looking for an NHS or Private Dentist in Plymouth?

We offer NHS and Private Dentistry in Plymouth
When you visit our independent dental practice you can be assured of receiving high quality NHS and private dental care at Larkham House.
What is NHS Dentistry?
NHS dental treatment is subsidised and there are three simple charge charge bands. The amount you pay depends on what treatment you need. If you are exempt you do not have to pay for NHS dental care. More information can be found here for NHS Charges and NHS exemptions . You may feel that that the NHS is right for you, however, the benefits that private dentistry offers, far outweigh that currently available on the NHS.
What do you offer me as a private dental patient?

More time
Many of our patients tell us that as an NHS patient in the past, they felt their appointments were rushed and the treatment was often too spaced out over long time periods. As a private dental patient, we are able to offer you time – time to discuss your case, time to offer you the best treatment plan and time to carry out that treatment in an unhurried environment.
Private dentists are able to offer longer appointment times, so we get to know you and your history, as well as your concerns, offering improvements which will suit you and your budget. If you require a course of treatment over several appointments, you will be offered dates and times that reflect the ideal gaps between each phase of your treatment rather than long waits until the next available time slot.

More treatment options
Private dentistry gives our patients a true choice in their care with expert guidance. We are not bound by NHS rules and guidelines which can limit the treatment options available. We are free to offer all dental treatments that are currently available and are considered ‘best practice’. We will always give the patient their treatment options, and their costs, with the benefits and negatives of each clearly explained.
Why is private dentistry more expensive?
Private dentistry does cost more than treatment on the NHS, but the additional expense often reflects benefits of longer appointment times, more thorough treatments, better equipment, cutting-edge materials and techniques, help for nervous patients, and an itemised outline of your treatment plan.
